To whom it may concern, I am applying for the position of Elderly Care worker. I am currently working with St John Of God Community Services Liffey Services as General Assistant. I have working in this position since November 2017. I completed BTEC Higher National Diploma Social Care & Community Work at Inchicore College of Further Education, and recently I have also completed Disability Studies Level 7 at Maynooth University. I have always had a keen interest in working with people with intellectual disabilities. I have worked in the health care sector for 7 years. I have always found this line of work to be very rewarding and empowering. This is what influenced my decision to study Disability Studies a higher level to gain more experience. I have experience working with different age groups, due to my studies and a personal interest which has allowed me to worked with children and young adults with various levels of different mental health and intellectual disabilities as part of my course.
